DB-Railways
Design Consultany
In 2016, DB Railways embarked on an ambitious journey to modernize its network infrastructure for their sprawling 25,000 sq. ft. headquarters. Recognizing the limitations of their existing Cat5a cabling, they sought a solution that could support their growing operational demands. That’s when they partnered with Teknotch, a consultancy known for delivering innovative IT solutions.
The challenge was clear: create a high-speed, reliable network capable of handling critical railway operations—from real-time signaling and passenger information systems to remote monitoring and ticketing services. Teknotch stepped in as a trusted design consultant, ready to guide DB Railways through this transformation. As the design consultant, Teknotch took on several key responsibilities:
Despite environmental challenges like electromagnetic interference and mechanical stress from the railway environment, Teknotch delivered a future-proof solution. By ensuring redundancy and failover mechanisms, they created a network capable of delivering ten times the data transmission speed with enhanced reliability and lower maintenance costs.
By the end of the project, DB Railways had a cutting-edge network infrastructure and a trusted partner in Teknotch. Together, they turned a technical upgrade into a story of transformation and trust, laying the foundation for future technological advancements.
Agile Transformation
Du
Project Consultant
Du, with over 50 million subscribers and operations across multiple regions, struggled with slow network rollout, inefficient digital service deployment, and siloed IT and operations teams. Despite initial Agile adoption in software teams, the organization faced scaling challenges, fragmented communication, and slow feature releases for both B2C and B2B services.
Challenge: Agile adoption was inconsistent, creating misalignment between software, network, and business teams. Feature releases took 6-12 months due to inefficient handoffs and dependencies. Teams used different Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall), making enterprise-wide standardization difficult. The company lacked real-time insights into project progress, risks, and dependencies. Agile transformation needed to comply with telecom security protocols and regulatory requirements
